Refreshing Merry Cranberry Cocktail Recipe

I’m hosting this year’s Christmas Dinner at my house and I wanted to come up with a fun and festive drink to serve my guests. I wanted something that is easy, inexpensive and can double as a cocktail for those who drink and a mocktail for those who don’t. I needed it to be something simple I could whip up in no time and I needed it to be delicious. After some trial and error, this Merry Cranberry Cocktail was born.

While I was out finishing some last minute Christmas shopping,I made sure to pick up everything I needed to make this delicious recipe. Thankfully it’s so simple all I needed was a few bottles of a lemon-lime soda, cranberry juice and a bag of cranberries. I used rum I already had at home.

 

I love a pretty drink. So I went a step ahead and added a sugar rim to the glasses I was going to use. Decorating glasses with a sugar rim is really easy to do and it looks so pretty.

 

You’ll need some corn syrup, colored sugar and whatever glasses you want to use. Once your glasses are sugared you can make the drink.

 

Step 1: Take a skewer and add cranberries to it for decoration. Make as many as you’ll need ahead of time.

Step 2: Fill half of glass with 7UP®

 

Step 3: Fill the remaining half with cranberry juice

 

Sept 4: Add a dash of coconut rum and top with a cranberry stirrer for garnishment and serve.

 

Delicious!

 

If you want to make this a Mocktail just leave out the coconut rum. It’s still delicious and looks fabulous!
